Flexwire

FLEXWIRE is a thin wire light-based technology for electroluminescent phosphor, fiber Lytec is totally flexible, durable and resistant, it can be bent and molded into any shape and cut into any length. Lytec fiber is not toxic, is safe, emits cold light, it works at low voltage, is a certified CE - UL - MSHA.

Flexwire is a product of high quality available in the following diameters:
1.3 mm. For applications that require flexibility
2.3mm (0.09in). For applications using interior
3.2mm (0.13in). For outdoor use
5.0mm (0.2in). For applications where the visibility of the fiber is of significant importance
2.8 x 3.5mm (0.11x 0.14in). Double thickness for applications where you need a length of fiber from several hundred meters

The average life of the fiber reaches the thousands of hours depending on the frequency and voltage input. High frequencies and voltages create a high brightness at first, but reduce the average life of the fiber itself. For average life means the amount of hours after which there is a reduction of light intensity of 30% compared to the initial, continuing to emit light for thousands of hours.

The typical supply voltage of the light fiber is 48-130V RMS (depending on the type of fiber) and the current minimum and the game could well use inverter is powered by batteries that DC directly from the mains (with appropriate precautions), while the frequency of work varies from 50 to 5000Hz.

The fiber (dim 5mm and 3.2mm) is designed for outdoor use, so do not fear ila moisture and direct exposure to sunlight that would make it subject to an accelerated deterioration, the immersion in water for limited periods is possible (with appropriate precautions).

Lytec fiber consists of a thin copper wire coated with 5 layers of semiconductors and electroluminescent polymers, a thin highly conductive transparent films and two or more protective sheaths.
Lytec fiber emits a light standard at 360 degrees from its entire surface.

Electrically fiber Lytec is a capacitor that emits light. By applying an alternating current between the two conductive electrodes (core and outer transparent film) semi-material emits light which can be more or less light depending on the voltage (90-130V) and frequency (50-4000 Hz).
